My Approach

“Transition (change) of any kind is not easy and can be a very lonely path.”

Should you feel called it would be my honour to assist you.

Here are just some of the things I can bring to the table—all offered from a place of love, learned experience, education, deeply guided wisdom and with a sense of humour.

Experience, knowledge, wisdom, practical assistance, empathy and compassion. All of the above garnered from my extensive career in Eldercare as well as my personal journey through debilitating, life altering and ultimately chronic illness. My training and experience as a reverend affords the opportunity to assist those who feel called to spiritual guidance to navigate their path. My philosophy is One God, Many Paths and as such I am open to guidance and guiding from all available sources.

For those at End-of-Life (EOL) I can assist you as you make your way to and through conscious completion of this life cycle.

For those experiencing chronic illness, career loss, loss of a loved one or divorce I can assist you in navigating those transitions.

I know that there is a way through as I have “lived” it and am here to tell the tale.

During my illness I found that having someone “neutral” with whom to express my frustrations and fears helped me so much with releasing them. Whilst family and friends can be a wonderful resource, I felt that I didn’t always want to burden them with my challenges…

Similarly, as I have spent time with and worked with individuals closing in on the end of their lives, I became aware of a theme…. Most people craved conversation, to dialogue about areas of their life that felt unresolved or incomplete. It was my gift and privilege to be an active listener and space holder for them. Being there as a sounding board, not trying to fix or change but rather allow the individual to finally say that quiet part out loud without fear of judgement. Often that was enough. Sometimes conversations with loved ones were called for as a result of our work and I was able to play a role in facilitating and navigating those when appropriate.
